At the 39th annual meeting in Leiden Professor David Taylor was honored with a Life Time Achievement Award.

David is one of the icons of paediatric ophthalmology. He is a great doctor and a gifted teacher. He has taught residents and fellows from everywhere, develops educational programs and travels around the world to spread knowledge on paediatric ophthalmology. He can lecture on every subject you can think of and his stories are indelibly printed in your memory, which was proven by his acceptance lecture during the meeting.

He and Creig Hoyt just published the 4th edition of their great textbook on Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Apart from his educational skills he is a faithful visitor and supporter of EPOS. EPOS is proud to have such a prominent member amongst them and congratulates David with this award.
